A litter at Kaden's is very well planned, it takes time to make sure both sire and dam have all the attributes to breed from. They must work and work well. Finally the breeding pair need to have traits that match so that the pups produced have a high probability of success. We do not breed in the "number's game" - we breed specifically to fill requirements with dedication and planning. Therefore Kaden puppies are booked well in advance.
Pup Selection Process
When you express a interest in ordering a pup you will be asked what you want the pup for. You will be asked what sex and coat you would prefer. There is a sub-page (under "Started Dogs & Pups for Sale: Information" tab on the left menu column) with a form you can complete should you wish to express your interest.
At 6 weeks old, I match your selection criteria to the characteristics and personalities of the available pups and all going to plan you will be successful in your application for a Kaden puppy. This is to ensure the best outcome for the pup and also the purchaser. We do not sell pups that do not suit your specifications.
Treatments
The pups will all be wormed, vaccinated and micro chipped (which has to be done by law). They are whelped and raised in clean well prepared pens. We offer the pups a free run upbringing and encourage play not only with toys but mud puddles, bush walks, rock pools and the older dogs. We will ask you for a name as we do like to start using their name as soon as possible.
Transport
Our main source of transport from here is to fly with Jetpets and have found them fantastic to deal with and also quite reasonable. Crate hire is quite dear so advice that you can purchase a brand new crate from me cheaper than the hire which gives you a crate to sell when the trip is over. Also Sammi's Express will come if we can organise enough pups to move at the same time.
Diet
We start with powdered Shepard milk and add oats, rice sometimes a dash of honey and a egg.
We raise the pups on Supercoat puppy nuts, Chicken mince/tuna/sardines/kangaroo. We mix it up with either cooked vegetables, rice or pasta.
They start with 5 meals a day mostly milk and end with 2 meals of meat and nuts.
Breeder's Guarantee
This section is very important so please read.
Kaden Collies will refund the purchase price only, if the pup shows no sign of work before 12 months.
If a pup has left here and seen sheep and has switched on then we will not refund any money, as we can guarantee our breeding but we can't guarantee the buyers ability to train.
If any medical faults are found Kaden will refund the purchase price only.
Money will be refunded when the pup or dog has been returned. If the pup or dog has been found to be in poor condition or has been shut down through bad handling no money will be refunded.
Kaden Collies will offer any help needed by phone or video.
Our pups leave here well loved and cared for and we trust in you to raise them right and give them the best chance to fulfil their capabilities.
