Back to Work

Trialing over for us for another year and Kate finished on a high note. Together with Gleeson she got 2nd in the Open short course at Isisford. With some handy Trialers there it was a good effort. Now back to work for us and the dogs. Trialing is fun but the real measure of a dog is in the paddock. Steve has bought us some tough cows and with the added help of Boss, the dogs have been having some seriously good fun. It is nice to see the abiltiy these dogs have when put under pressure. Jay has been very sick with a bacteria bug that worked its way to the brain. He is on the mend now and his training is on hold for some time. Good news, Bonnie has been scanned in pup. We also had our very first lamb marking, for cattle people this was a big event. The grandkids came over and had a ball picking up the lambs. I wonder if they will still be keen when we go from 75 to 1000.
